Job description

In your new role you will:
 
  • Support customer design-in and develop of Enterprise Power’s low-voltage, high-performance, non-isolated DC-DC power supplies for CPU core, memory & graphics applications using digital multiphase and point-of-load controllers. The design-in activities at key customers includes schematic & layout reviews, board bring up and full system-level validation and debug of technical problems
  • Drive technical discussions with customers to promote Infineon’s solution with Marketing & Sales team
  • Provide technical training to FAEs, sales & customer
  • Contribute new ideas during product definition and validate them using simulation tools or product validation hardware Perform system-level simulation of new designs
  • Create go-to-market evaluation boards, datasheet, application notes & design-in tools for new products
  • Support Product Development teams with system-level validation with FPGA and controller/power stage chipsets as needed
  • Travel of approximately 50-75% of the time locally in the San Jose area to provide on-site customer technical support. Additional travel 10% US and International

Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
 
  • BSEE or MSEE preferred with 5-7 years of hands-on experience in high-frequency, high-current, high-density DC/DC designs.
  • Knowledge of power conversion topologies, magnetics and control system design with extensive lab skills to test and debug of switch mode power supplies
  • Excellent customer interaction and support skills
  • System-level modeling experience with Simplis/PSpice
  • Effectively multi-task, manage priorities and solve technical problems independently
  • Highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Strong communication skills in verbal & written English and work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in using digital controllers & power stages for power management applications
  • MathCAD and Excel for circuit calculations
  • Good at developing relationships with internal and external engineering community
